Designer of an innovative, eco-friendly project where aesthetics meet functionality; Agnese Mazzei built a winery with the goal of producing wines that are as natural as possible. The winery is located 15 meters underground, allowing operations to rely solely on gravity and ensuring optimal temperature and humidity conditions for the wines’ aging process.
The soil of the Fonterutoli estate consists of Alberese rock and sandstone. The estate covers 650 hectares, 117 of which are vineyards. The Fonterutoli vineyard is divided into 120 plots at altitudes ranging from 220 to 550 meters.
