Agricola Punica
In the mid-1980s, Sebastiano Rosa, an oenologist for Tenuta San Guido (producer of Sassicaia), offered his services to Cantina di Santadi. It was at this point that theAgricola Punica project began to take shape.
It wasn’t until 2002, under the leadership of Giaccomo Tachis—a renowned Tuscan winemaker—thatAgricola Punica was officially established with the purchase of its first vineyards. These 170 hectares (65 of which are planted with vines), divided into two estates—Barrua and Narcao—are located in the southern part of Sardinia known as Sulcis Meridionale.
Agricola Punica’s wines fall under the Isola dei Nuraghi IGT designation: Samas for white, Montessu and Barrua for red.
At the helm ofAgricola Punica are Sebastiano Rosa, Cantina Santadi, Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia), Giaccomo Tachis, and Antonello Pilloni (president of Cantina Santadi).
