Agricola Punica - Montessu 2015

This is the estate's second wine, slightly less formal than Barrua. The 2015 Montessu is a blend of Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. It is aged in barrels for up to a year. The wine reveals an almost black color with ruby highlights shining from within. The aromas of Cabernet—black fruits, spices, toasted herbs, and black olives—are immediate and identifiable. The wine is structured and has a smooth texture. It coats the mouth with a firm intensity." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)
