“This is the estate’s second wine, just a touch less formal than Barrua. The 2015 Montessu is a blend of Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. It is aged in barrels for up to a year. The wine reveals an almost black color with ruby highlights that seem to glow from within. The Cabernet aromas—black fruits, spices, toasted herbs, and black olives—are immediate and distinct. The wine is structured with a smooth texture. It coats the palate with firm intensity.” (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)
