Rosso Conero
The production area of the Rosso Conero DOC encompasses the entire region behind Mount Conero and spans the municipalities of Ancona, Varano, Camerano, Numana, Offagna, Castelfidardo, and Osimo.
The Conero promontory offers an exceptional environment for growing red grapes. They benefit from a unique microclimate, with the sea just a stone’s throw away, combined with a limestone soil—poor in nutrients but with great structure—allowing for a distinctive character in the wines produced.
Rosso Conero was one of the first wines to obtain the designation of origin by decree of the President of the Republic on July 21, 1967. Since 2004, the designation "Riserva" may be added to the DOCG, resulting in the Conero DOCG designation.
This appellation offers magnificent red wines, including those produced by Domaine Lanari.
