Rosso Conero
The Rosso Conero DOC production area encompasses the entire region behind Mount Conero and extends across the municipalities of Ancona, Varano, Camerano, Numana, Offagna, Castelfidardo, and Osimo.
The Conero promontory is an exceptional environment for growing red grapes. The region benefits from a unique microclimate, with the sea just a stone’s throw away, combined with limestone soil—poor in nutrients but with excellent structure—which allows the wines produced here to express their distinctive character.
Rosso Conero was one of the first wines to be granted a designation of origin by decree of the President of the Republic on July 21, 1967. Since 2004, the term “Riserva” may be added to the DOCG designation, resulting in the Conero DOCG designation.
This appellation produces magnificent red wines, including those offered by Domaine Lanari.
