"Boccadigabbia is one of my favorite estates in the Marche region. The 2009 Rosso Piceno is a solid wine for its price. Soft black fruit, tobacco flowers, licorice, and crushed stone melt together in the glass. This hearty blend of Montepulciano/Sangiovese is a great wine that is well worth its price. " (Wine Advocate Feb. 2013 - Robert Parker)

Review and opinion by Ms. FRANCOISE K. Published on 10/04/2014

Very disappointed with this wine, not much on the nose and very harsh on the palate. I'm keeping the last bottle to see if it will be better in a year or two... I'm not impressed by the Italian wines offered on Wine of the Day, whereas the Spanish wines are much better value for money.
