Domaine Caruso & Minini
Stefano Caruso and Mario Minini share the same ambition: to revive the centuries-old winemaking tradition of Marsala, one of Italy's most noble. With great determination, the wines of Domaine Caruso and Minini surprise with their originality, character, and elegance.
The Giummarella and Cuttaia vineyards are an invaluable heritage that has belonged to the Caruso family for three generations: 120 hectares of hills halfway between Salemi and Marsala, 15 kilometers from the estate. The vineyards are located in the center of an area long known for its suitability for producing grapes that can be transformed into great wines.
In these hills, the work is always surprising: the variety of soils, the different exposures to wind and sun, and the varying altitudes require different cultivation systems and the study of the best combination of soil, climate, and grape. Since 2004, wine production has taken place, by choice and passion, in an old "Baglio" located in the heart of the traditional Marsala wine-growing area
For the people of Caruso and Minini, working within these walls, built at the end of the 19th century to produce but also to protect wine, is not only a source of pride but also a great pleasure.
