This wine is flattering on the nose and seductive from the first sip: a combination of ripe black fruits and spices, with a massive, opulent body, yet superbly balanced and fresh. Decant for a long time (at least 3 hours) to enjoy it with spicy food. It will be at its best in at least 5 years.

Completely oxidized wine—undrinkable. Yet it was stored in good conditions and drunk in 2019 (the label indicates a shelf life until 2027). I note that others have had the same experience before me (comment dated August 19, 2014).

Note and opinion by Mr. ANTONY M. Published on 08/19/2014

A good month after receiving my order, I got ready to taste it, and as soon as I opened it, a strong smell of maderization came out... Disappointing. I'm counting on other bottles of the same reference to give me a more objective opinion! My rating remains a reflection of the first bottle I opened. I hope to find the pleasant surprise described in the sales description.
