Mas Gabriel
Spanning 6 hectares of vineyards in the village of Caux, one of the most picturesque in the Languedoc, the Mas Gabriel has a distinctly British flavor. In 2002, Peter Core, a financial director, and Deborah Core, a lawyer, left London for New Zealand, dreaming of one day settling in France to run their own winery. For 18 months, they trained with winemakers and earned a degree in viticulture and winemaking. In 2006, this couple, passionate about nature and wine, purchased vineyard plots and established the Mas Gabriel.
Located at the foot of the Haut Languedoc Regional Nature Park, not far from Pézénas, the Mas Gabriel vineyard is committed to an approach that respects its environment, with vineyards cultivated using organic farming methods. The wines are produced under two appellations: IGP Pays de l'Hérault and Languedoc, with the Pézénas designation.
