Mas Gabriel
On 6 hectares of vineyards in the village of Caux, one of the most picturesque in Languedoc, the Mas Gabriel echoes English-speaking tones. In 2002, Peter Core, a financial director, and Deborah Core, a lawyer, left London for New Zealand, with the dream of one day settling in France at the head of their own estate. For 18 months, they trained with winemakers and obtained a degree in viticulture and winemaking. In 2006, this couple, passionate about nature and wine, bought plots of vineyards and created the Mas Gabriel.
Located at the foot of the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park, not far from Pézénas, the Mas Gabriel vineyard is committed to an approach that respects its environment and therefore cultivates its vines using organic farming methods. The wines are produced under two appellations: IGP Pays de l'Hérault and Languedoc with the Pézénas designation.
