"A cuvée that lives up to its name, deliciously indulgent. A deep ruby color, a charming nose of ripe black fruits and morello cherry, and a delicious, playful palate, supple and round, make this red the archetype of a 'wine for friends'." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)

About wine:

A cuvée that lives up to its name, deliciously indulgent. A deep ruby color, a charming nose of ripe black fruits and morello cherry, and a delicious, playful palate, supple and round, make this red wine the archetype of a "wine for friends."

About the estate:

This estate is located 500 meters from the Château de Martigné-Briand, in the heart of the Coteaux-du-Layon region, but the town is also the small capital of Anjou rosé wines. Since 1988, Yves Matignon and his sister Hélène have been cultivating 38 hectares of vines here.

Tannic, hence the suggestion on the back label to drink the wine between 12/13°C. The fruit is behind!
