2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"This 2014 immediately captivated the jury with its bright pale yellow color, flecked with green highlights. It opens up unreservedly with very intense notes of white flowers and citrus. The palate is equally impressive: fresh from the first sip, it reveals a lively character with delicate citrus notes and offers excellent length. A very aromatic and energetic wine that will age well and pairs beautifully with seafood.” (Le Guide Hachette des vins 2016)

About the wine:

This 2014 immediately captivated the jury with its bright pale yellow color, flecked with green highlights. It opens up unreservedly with very intense notes of white flowers and citrus. The palate is equally impressive: fresh from the first sip, it reveals a lively character with subtle citrus notes and offers excellent length. A highly aromatic and vibrant wine that will age well and pairs beautifully with seafood.

About the estate:

Christophe Baudry, representing the sixth generation of winemakers, and Jean-Martin Dutour, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, manage a wine merchant’s business and four estates in Chinon: Château de Saint Louans, Château de la Grille, Domaine du Roncée, and Domaine de la Perrière.

A full-bodied, flavorful Chenin with notes of white fruit. A harmonious palate that exudes elegance. A long, rich finish.

An excellent Chenin that holds its own against its finest counterparts from Vouvray. Excellent value for money
