"Remarkable quality at a very reasonable price!"

"Rather prominent for its burgundies, the domaine places this Chinon, and what a Chinon it is! The ruby color is intense, but less so than the nose, which releases a deep bouquet blending very ripe fruit with sweet spices. The fruit, led by blackcurrant, emancipates itself in a voluble, chubby palate supported by silky, well-coated tannins. Full-bodied and generous, the jury really liked it. Drink it or cellar it for a few years. At this price, it's a hell of a bargain". (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the wine:

Rather well known for its burgundies, the estate places this Chinon, and what a Chinon it is! The ruby-red color is intense, but less so than the nose, which releases a deep bouquet of very ripe fruit and sweet spices. The fruit, led by blackcurrant, emancipates itself in a voluble, chubby palate supported by silky, well-coated tannins. Full-bodied and generous, the jury really liked it. Drink it or cellar it for a few years. At this price, it's quite a bargain.

About the domain :

Owned by the Meslet, Thouet and Rouzier families, this estate, founded in 1913, is very consistent in quality, covering 33 hectares, 45 parcels and three appellations: chinon, bourgueil and saint-nicolas. Since 2012, it has been run by Germain Meslet.
