After a rich attack, the palate is beautifully balanced; apricot aromas come through fully against a mellow woodiness, followed by a long finish.

About the estate:

Consistent in quality across all styles of Anjou wines, this estate, created in 1919 by Alexis Deffois, is located in the Haut Layon region, in southern Anjou and west of Saumur. The founder's grandsons, Hubert and Raymond Deffois, joined in 2010 by the latter's sons-in-law, Nicolas Tamboise and Benjamin Grandsart, manage a 50-hectare vineyard.
