Antoine De La Farge

Antoine De La Farge
Antoine De La Farge was deeply inspired by his grandfather, Gérard Clément, an iconic winemaker and co-founder of the Menetou-Salon appellation. After starting his career working for a wine merchant, then as a buyer for a major wine merchant, he expanded his expertise internationally, particularly in Australia. In 2012, with 12 years of experience under his belt, he returned to the family estate to put his expertise to work alongside his grandfather, who was still active at the time.

Thanks to the diversity of the terroirs, Antoine de la Farge produces expressive and balanced wines. In Pouilly-sur-Loire, his vines are rooted in soil rich in flint and caillottes. In Quincy, he harvests on sandy and clay soils. Menetou-Salon reveals all its finesse on Kimmeridgian soil, while Sancerre is mainly based on limestone caillottes.

Antoine De La Farge showcases Sauvignon Blanc, which develops finesse and citrus aromas thanks to slow ripening, and Pinot Noir, delicate and elegant, grown on clay-limestone soils.
