Antoine De La Farge

Antoine De La Farge
Antoine De La Farge was deeply inspired by his grandfather, Gérard Clément, iconic winemaker and co-founder of the Menetou-Salon appellation. After a career that began with a wine merchant, then as a buyer for a major négociant, he expanded his expertise internationally, notably in Australia. In 2012, with 12 years' experience under his belt, he returned to the family estate to apply this expertise alongside his grandfather, who is always on hand.

Thanks to the diversity of his terroirs, Antoine de la Farge produces expressive, well-balanced cuvées. In Pouilly-sur-Loire, his vines take root in soil rich in flint and caillottes. In Quincy, he harvests from sand and clay soils. Menetou-Salon reveals all its finesse on Kimmeridgian soil, while Sancerre rests mainly on calcareous caillottes.

Antoine De La Farge gives pride of place to Sauvignon Blanc, which develops finesse and citrus aromas thanks to slow ripening, and Pinot Noir, delicate and elegant, grown on clay-limestone soils.
