Antoine De La Farge - Menetou-Salon rouge 2024
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"A concentrate of happiness!
"This cuvée seduced in 2022, it enchants in 2024. Gravity reception of the harvest, gentle pressing, indigenous yeasts, ageing in vats - everything is done (and done very well) to preserve the purity of the Pinot fruit. The nose? A rainbow: flowers (peony, iris) then fruit (cherry, raspberry), a dash of pepper and a pinch of aromatic herbs (licorice). A pleasant sweetness envelops a supple palate that doesn't force itself, but nurtures the finesse of the tannins, the freshness of the fruit and the softness of the texture. The digestible, spicy finish brings the tasting to a close. A delight and a nod to the vintage. (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the domain :
Descended from a long line of Menetou-Salon winemakers dating back to the 16th century, agronomist and oenologist Antoine de la Farge joined his parents' Domaine de l'Ermitage (since renamed Dom. de la Fidélité, cultivated organically) in 2013. At the same time, he set up his own trading house, which operates in the Centre Loire appellations (menetou-salon, sancerre and pouilly-fumé). Since 2019, he has also managed Dom. Chavet (menetou-salon).
