Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2026) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Established not far from the Maine River, on the granite slopes of Saint-Lumine-de-Clisson, this 32-hectare family estate was long run by Bruno Cormerais, who passed the torch to his son Maxime in 2009. To give their wines their "trademark", these winemakers often harvest later than their colleagues. Maxime Cormerais scores a magnificent double in the 40th edition of the Guide Hachette des Vins 2025: two "coups de coeur" highlighting the beautiful terroir of Clisson, one of Muscadet's ten crus communaux. It's also an opportunity to take a closer look at this region, which, far from being a "thirst-quenching little wine", offers highly expressive wines that are increasingly prized by oenophiles in France and abroad.

Domaine noté (guide 2026) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
In 2022, Vieilles Vignes asserts itself with much more concentration and body, structured by a fine bitterness.
About the domain :
In the Clisson area, Maxime Cormerais benefits from a heritage of old vines ranging from 30 to 70 years old, enabling him to vinify classic Muscadets, bringing them back to the fine austerity of granite. These wines offer excellent value for money. Chambaudière and Vieilles Vignes are aged for around fourteen months in vats, while Prestige is partially barrel-aged. The Maxime (four years) and Calie (seven years) cuvées are aged for extended periods, producing deep, weathered whites.
