Domaine des Matines
The Domaine des Matines is located in Brossay, very close to Saumur and Le Puy-Notre-Dame, and owes its name to the Abbey of Asnières. This family-owned estate spans 52 hectares and produces wines from no fewer than 14 different appellations, showcasing the diversity of Loire Valley wines: Saumur red, Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, Saumur white, Saumur Champigny, Crémant de Loire, Bonnezeaux, and more.
In 2010, Michèle Mallard-Etchegaray handed over the reins of the estate to her sons, Vincent and Hervé. The Matines cellars are brimming with treasures; since 1955, every vintage has been stored in a large limestone cellar that is quite renowned in the region.
