Elephant Hill Winery
Founded in 2003, Elephant Hill, located on the idyllic coast of Te Awanga (Hawke's Bay, North Island), owns three vineyards in the renowned subregions of Hawke's Bay: Te Awanga Vineyard (on the coast), Gimblett Vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers District (inland), and Triangle Vineyard in the Bridge Pa Triangle region.

Each vineyard features a different soil type and microclimate, givingElephant Hill wines their distinct personalities. The terroirs are tailored to the grape varieties planted there and consist of clay pebbles on ancient, stony riverbeds.

Elephant Hill recycles wastewater from the winery using its own biological water treatment system to produce clean, high-quality water. Wildflowers have been planted in the vineyards, not only for aesthetic reasons but also to attract insects beneficial to biodiversity.Elephant Hill ’s three vineyards are certified organic by SWNZ (Sustainable Winegrowers of New Zealand).
