"A Favorite Pinot Noir Favorite two magnificent vineyards on the estate, right in the heart of the Wairau Valley and Omaka!"
"The 2016 vintage (5*) was aged on the estate in the Raupo Creek and Tatou vineyards. Hand-harvested, it was aged for one year in French oak barrels (7% of which were new), then aged for an additional six months in oak casks, before being bottled without fining or filtration. Its color is deep and brilliant, and its bouquet is ripe and fragrant. On the palate, it is a well-structured wine with concentrated, vibrant aromas of cherry, plum, and spice; complex and flavorful, with fresh acidity and a fairly firm finish.” (Michael Cooper’s New Zealand Wine Review) • Screw cap

About the wine:
Bright crimson. A soft, floral nose, with a palate that is much softer than the 2017 Leah. The texture is still a bit light. A touch of harshness on the finish. 2022–2027
