Seresin

Seresin
It was in 1992 that Seresin Estate took root in the heart of the stunning Marlborough wine region, New Zealand’s most famous.
Seresin Estate is the brainchild of filmmaker Michael Seresin, director of photography on major films such as “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” the “Planet of the Apes” series, “Gravity,” and “Midnight Express.”

Far from Hollywood, he decided to give free rein to his passion for wine and established his estate, drawing inspiration from Tuscan farms, in harmony with the New Zealand environment and ecosystem. Thus, Seresin Estate divides its 167 hectares, with one-third dedicated to vineyards and the remainder to 5,000 olive trees and numerous animals. The guiding principle: to harmonize the unique character of the soils, biodynamic practices, and horse-drawn cultivation—“the New World with the attitude of the Old World.” The estate’s terroirs are expressed through two vineyards in the warm Wairau Valley and one in the Omaka Valley with its cooler clay soils.

The estate’s logo—and the distinctive open-hand imprint featured on the labels of Seresin’s flagship wines—symbolizes the estate’s core values: creativity, craftsmanship, and heart. Discover this gem of New Zealand.
