Wine Spectator
Wine rated (2026 guide) 93/100 (Exceptional wine)
About the wine:
Concentrated and aromatic, with notes of lemongrass, lemon verbena, and celery salt that enhance the aromas of pineapple, mango, and lemon cream, all underpinned by a hint of orange sorbet. It gains intensity on a long, expressive finish. Enjoy now.
Jancis Robinson
Wine rated (2025 guide) 16,5/20
About the wine:
Aromas of bell pepper, green peas, and citrus, with a floral note—the elderflower is clearly discernible, as the producer notes in the technical sheet. The palate is crisp and tart. Intense and beautifully textured, almost velvety. Intense, long, and enticing. It remains a benchmark, even if it is no longer the sole flagship of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The price seems to have remained reasonable given the reputation of the name, or perhaps the prices of other wines have caught up. 2025–2030
