pretty bottle

“What you’ll notice is a lively wine with fruit that’s enhanced by lovely acidity. It’s fresh, young, and energetic. It’s a perfect summer white to sip on a patio on a hot day. It’s very well made and offers great value. It’s at its best when young. That’s exactly what you’re looking for in a summer white. Drink it very young, regardless of its theoretical aging potential.” (Wine Advocate 2020)

Wine rated (2020 guide) 87/100 (Very good wine)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

The 2019 Branco is a blend of 40% Arinto, 20% Alvarinho, 15% Azal and Avesso, and 10% Lourieiro. It is dry (2.2 grams of residual sugar and 6.3 of total acidity, with a pH lower than last year’s 3.12) and unaged in oak. There’s just a touch of added carbonation and 12.9% alcohol. However, you won’t really notice the effervescence. What you will notice is a lively wine with fruit that’s enhanced by lovely acidity. It’s vibrant, young, and energetic. It’s a perfect summer white to sip on a patio on a hot day. It’s very well made and offers great value. It really shines when young. That’s exactly what you’re looking for in a summer white. Drink it very young, regardless of its theoretical aging potential.
