Pibarnon Castle
Château de Pibarnon, owned by Eric de Saint-Victor, boasts an exceptional 50-hectare vineyard stretching across the highest hillsides of the Bandol region in Provence. The Château de Pibarnon vineyard is located just a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea, at an elevation of 300 meters. The vines, with an average age of 30 years, overlook the valley, terraced upon terraces on slopes forming a vast and magnificent cirque sheltered from the mistral. The vineyard’s high altitude ensures cool nights and slow ripening of the grapes, resulting in a production that spans all three colors: red, rosé, and white.

Since 1978, the de Saint-Victor family has been at the helm of this remarkable estate, Château de Pibarnon. Today, Eric de Saint-Victor has succeeded his father, Count Henri de Saint-Victor, who passed away in 2013. What a journey it has been since that year, marked by perseverance and conviction. A journey that has elevated Château de Pibarnon to the highest ranks, beginning with the inaugural 1978 vintage, which won a Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris for all three varieties—red, white, and rosé—on its very first entry! The gold medal would remain with the Pibarnon red for six consecutive years—an absolute record in the competition’s history!
