Château Pradeaux
Château Pradeaux tells a story; it is a repository of memories. It was Arlette Portalis and her mother, Suzanne, who came during World War II to restore the estate, which had been destroyed by the occupation. With the help of Baron Leroy, founder of the INAO, they embarked on the adventure of Bandol and Mourvèdre.
Cyrille is the sole descendant, and Arlette passed on to him, along with the land, a passion for Bandol. Since 1985, he has been the sole winemaker at Château Pradeaux, a champion of authentic work on the land, and the heir to a passion for Mourvèdre and its patient aging in oak casks. Each generation gives its best and crafts this precious nectar with respect and love. Each brings its own personal touch and modernity, without denying the heritage received from their ancestors. Thus, the family adventure continues, and Château Pradeaux continues to fascinate the current descendants of the Portalis family.
Château Pradeaux offers two Bandol wines: a red Bandol made from a blend of Mourvèdre and Grenache, and a Bandol Rosé made from Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The wines of Château Pradeaux reflect the qualities of the estate, whose origins date back to 1752. A family in harmony with the terroir, vineyards and olive groves caressed by the sea breeze, all bathed in sunshine.
