Lower Castle
Located on the site of an ancient Gallo-Roman town steeped in history, in the heart of the Aix-en-Provence wine region, the Lower Castle has many attractions. The 65-hectare vineyard consists of two distinct terroirs, one of which is deep and loamy around Lower Castle and the Badasset terroir, which is rockier and shaped like a cirque nestled against the Guillène cliff.

Since 2010, the entire Château Bas vineyard has been farmed organically to promote soil health and preserve biodiversity. The three main red grape varieties are Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, complemented by Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Counoise. The white wines are made primarily from Sauvignon, Rolle, White Grenache, White Ugni, Clairette, and Bourboulenc.

In 2020, the Castéja Group, a leading name in Bordeaux wines, acquired this incredible Provençal gem, a 300-hectare estate.
