Lower Castle
Located on the site of an ancient Gallo-Roman city steeped in history, in the heart of the Aix-en-Provence vineyards, the Lower Castle has many attractions. The 65-hectare vineyard consists of two distinct terroirs, one loamy and deep around Lower Castle and the Badasset terroir, which is rockier and shaped like a cirque, leaning against the Guillène cliff.

Since 2010, the entire Château Bas vineyard has been farmed organically in order to promote soil life and preserve biodiversity. The three main red grape varieties are Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, complemented by Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Counoise. The white wines are mainly made from Sauvignon, Rolle, Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Clairette, and Bourboulenc.

In 2020, the Castéja group, a leading figure in Bordeaux wines, acquired this incredible Provençal gem on a 300-hectare estate.
