Château Vignelaure

The first estate to introduce Cabernet Sauvignon to Provence as early as 1966, it inspired Eloi Dürrbach, who worked there for two years. In 2007, the estate was taken over by Mette and Bengt Sundstrøm, a Scandinavian couple who began the transition of the vineyard to organic farming. It spans 280 hectares, 56 of which are vineyards, on heavily stony clay-limestone soil at an elevation of between 350 and 400 meters. The estate is renowned for its reds, which are aged for at least four years—including two years in barrels and then in bottle at the estate—while the whites are also improving.
