Château Vignelaure
The first estate to introduce Cabernet Sauvignon to Provence in 1966, it inspired Eloi Dürrbach, who worked there for two years. In 2007, it was taken over by Mette and Bengt Sundstrøm, a Scandinavian couple who began converting the vineyard to organic farming. It covers 280 hectares, 56 of which are vineyards, on very stony clay-limestone soil, at an altitude of between 350 and 400 meters. The estate is renowned for its red wines, which are aged for at least four years, including two years in barrels and then in bottles at the estate. The white wines are also improving.
