"Just like Petrarch for Laura de Noves, the castle pays homage to beauty!"

"The 2018 vintage is a character in its own right, with all the right attributes: color, aromas, texture, and elegance. " (Le guide de la RVF 2026). A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah, grown on clay-limestone soil—does that remind you of anything? Yes, Eloi Dürrbach worked at the estate for two years before leaving for Trevallon. A perfect wine for autumn or festive dishes, it will improve further in the cellar.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

A sensitive and pragmatic man in his committed choices, Philippe Bru, director of operations, is one of the most endearing figures in the region. He has created a trilogy of impeccable color. This atypical property has been writing some of the most beautiful pages in Provençal viticulture since the 1970s. Cabernet Sauvignon thrives here, almost on a par with Syrah. A clay-limestone matrix tempers the rare excesses of heat. A vertical tasting dating back to 1975 has proven the immense consistency and quality, still too underestimated, of Vignelaure wines.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

The 2018 is a character, with all the right attributes: color, aromas, texture, and elegance. Of course, this great wine for aging is not yet ready.

About the estate:

This estate with a prestigious past has belonged to Bengt Sundstrom of Sweden since 2007. Together with Philippe Bru, the technical director, they bring out the best in this high-altitude clay-limestone terroir (350 to 480 meters), optimizing this now mature vineyard which has undergone a significant phase of renewal. This explains, among other things, the creation of entry-level cuvées vinified for rapid consumption (Le Page and La Source in rosé and red). The vertical tasting carried out up to the magnificent 1985 vintage testifies to the longevity of these wines. The reds have long deserved a star for their exhilarating ability to age, and the whites are gaining in elegance, as are the orange wine and the sweet wine. That leaves the rosé, but it is not the specialty here. This is not enough to call into question the well-deserved award of the star.
