"Like Petrarch for Laure de Noves, the château pays tribute to beauty!

"The 2018 is a character, all the cursors are on green: color, fragrance, texture and elegance." (Le guide de la RVF 2026). A blend of 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 50% Syrah, on a clay-limestone terroir, sound familiar? Yes, Eloi Dürrbach worked at the domaine for two years before leaving for Trevallon. A perfect wine for autumnal or festive dishes, which will continue to improve in the cellar.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100

Domaine rated (guide 2026) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

A sensitive man, pragmatic in his committed choices, Philippe Bru is one of the region's most endearing figures. He has produced a trilogy of impeccable colors. Atypical, this estate has been writing some of the finest pages in Provençal viticulture since the 1970s. Cabernet-Sauvignon thrives here, in almost equal proportions with Syrah. A clay-limestone matrix tempers the rare excesses of heat. A vertical analysis dating back to 1975 proves the immense regularity and quality - still too underestimated - of Vignelaure wines.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100

Domaine rated (guide 2026) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

The 2018 is a character, with all the cursors in the green: color, perfume, texture and elegance. Of course, this great wine for laying down is not yet ready.

About the domain :

Since 2007, this estate with its prestigious past has belonged to Swedish winemaker Bengt Sundstrom. Together with technical director Philippe Bru, they bring out the best in the character of this high-altitude clay-limestone terroir (from 350 to 480 meters), optimizing this now-aged vineyard which has undergone a major renewal phase. This explains, among other things, the creation of entry-level cuvées vinified for quick consumption (Le Page and La Source in rosé and red). The vertical analysis carried out up to the magnificent 1985 testifies to the longevity of these wines. The reds have long deserved the star for their exhilarating capacity to age, and the whites are gaining in elegance, as are the orange and sweet wines. There's still rosé, but that's not our specialty here. No reason to question the deserved awarding of the star.
