"An exceptional gourmet rosé!"

Mysterious and complex, this cuvée offers the estate's finest expression from pure schist plots and highlights the "La Londe" terroir. The result of meticulous work and selection of the best juices, Confidentielle has impressive minerality followed by a full-bodied, vinous palate. The finish is long, refined, delicately peppery and licorice-flavored.

Nose

With a rich and elegant bouquet, initial mineral and iodine notes reminiscent of the estate's seaside location, followed by delicate aromas of peppery rose, lychee, melon, and candied citrus, complemented by refined hints of sweet spices such as vanilla and cardamom.

Mouth

Consistent with the nose, it offers finesse and delicacy from the very first sip. There is a perfect balance between mineral freshness, salinity, and volume, fullness, and richness. The very indulgent and fleshy fruity finish lingers, proving very refreshing with its mineral notes and citrus zest. A lovely fresh and salty finish with good length.

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This is one of the most famous estates in Provence. It belongs to the Combard family, who manage this 85-hectare vineyard, including 30 hectares of leased land. The vineyard, located on the coast on schist soil, has been cultivated organically since 1979. Steps are currently being taken to convert the entire estate to biodynamic farming. We applaud this commitment, which is no easy feat for an estate of this size. While the wines are among the sure values of Provence, the family also works hard to welcome visitors and offers a cultural program during the sunny days of the season that is well worth a visit.
