Domaine des Terres Blanches rosé 2016
15,5/20
Bettane & Desseauve
Cité
Hachette
With its pale pink hue, this wine offers a clean, intensely aromatic bouquet, a sign of its youth and vibrancy. The dominant fruity notes—exotic fruits, grapefruit zest, and passion fruit—give way to richer, more indulgent flavors as the wine opens up. Lively and refined, the flavor profile echoes the bouquet before becoming rounder and smoother. A refreshing rosé!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated wine (2017 guide) 15.5/20 (2015 vintage) (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2017 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
The 35 hectares of vineyards, all facing southwest, are located on the plain at the foot of the northern slope of the Alpilles, in a corridor where the mistral wind blows particularly strongly. These winds thus protect the vines from frost and guard them against disease. The estate has recently been acquired by Fiducial and will undoubtedly undergo changes in future vintages.

About the estate:
This pioneering estate in organic viticulture (“bio-active” since 1970) was founded in 1968 by Noël Michelin. Run by the Parmentier-Jolly family since 2007, it changed hands in 2012 when it was acquired by Laurent Hild, an industrialist from Alsace. He has maintained this focus on a 40-hectare vineyard. The estate is regularly in the spotlight for its Baux-de-Provence wines, in all three colors.
