Domaine Font de Courtedune - Châteauneuf-du-Pape rouge 2023
96-97/100
RVF
"After a 2022 vintage rated 100/100 by RVF, the 2023 vintage has already been awarded a 96-97 by RVF while still aging!"
Rich and deep, it has a strong aroma of strawberry jam. This deliciousness is found in a voluminous but powerful juice, which is unusually virile. When exposed to air, the finesse of the safres comes into its own in this wine that is currently being aged. (RVF magazine no. 695 - November 2025). A true revelation in its 2022 vintage, the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the Font de Courtedune estate follows in the footsteps of its predecessor!

About the estate:
Located in Courthézon, Font de Courtedune was created in 1997, after years of delivering grapes to the cooperative winery, by the father of Caroline and Frédéric Charlier, brother and sister who now run the estate. In thirty years, this discreet property has become one of the sure values of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Caroline and Frédéric arrived at the estate in 2001 and took over in 2010 after their father's death. While Frédéric works in the vineyards, Caroline manages the wines in the cellar. Continuing the tradition, she vinifies with the stems and ages the wine in concrete vats. IGP, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Châteauneuf, an almost pure Grenache from a safre sector: here, all the wines have the same common thread, finesse and purity, nothing else.
