Domaine de Panisse
Located in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Domaine de Panisse is centered around a magnificent Provençal building
dating back to 1472. In April 2020, it was acquired by the Vacheron family, owners of the famous Clos du Caillou, located 2 km away. A unique site, the Domainede Panisse’s6.5-hectare vineyard surrounds the farmhouse, including old vines planted in 1924. Facing a real challenge, Sylvie Vacheron and Bruno Gaspard found the necessary support from the new generation: Axel, Marilou, and Antoine. A new winemaking adventure to watch closely.
The Panisse estate’s vineyards feature terroirs of finesse
and terroirs of power:
sandy, sandy-loamy,
clay-rich soils, and terroirs of
rounded pebbles. The vineyard is currently transitioning to organic and biodynamic farming, just like at Clos du Caillou. For its first vintage in 2020, Domaine de Panisse presents two cuvées: Le Mas in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Le Mazet in Côtes-du-Rhône.
