"A complex and elegant Châteauneuf".
"The 2016 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Papesse is a brilliant wine, with a bouquet of red and blue fruits, lavender, Provençal herbs and ground pepper bursting from the glass. A wine that almost screams "Provence" with its complex and satisfying aromas, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a structured and incredibly elegant palate, fine-grained tannins and a great finish. This is a complete, nuanced Châteauneuf du Pape that will continue to drink fabulously well over the next 15-20 years." (Jeb Dunnuck 2022)

About the wine:
The full-bodied, voluminous 2016 Châteauneuf du Pape Arcane La Papesse displays surprising elegance for such a powerful wine. such a powerful wine. Remarkably dark and youthful in appearance, it delivers notes of leather, cedar and dried spices, all on a background of black cherries and prunes. black cherries and plums. The tannins are fine and silky on the mid-palate, fading gently to a persistent, slightly powdery finish. Impressive, with at least a decade of cellaring potential in front.
