"Definitely a great wine!"

Considered Xavier's flagship cuvée, the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Anonyme is made from 60% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, with the remainder consisting of a multitude of other grape varieties. Deep ruby and plum in color in 2020, it offers a wonderful array of red and black fruits supported by ample notes of cedar, pepper, and spices. The barrel sample is medium-bodied to full-bodied, round and textured, with remarkable purity, first-rate tannins and an excellent finish. It is among the cream of the crop of the vintage." Wine making

At low temperatures (22-24°C) to preserve the freshness of this rich, sunny vintage, which is very expressive, reflecting the climate that year. Great care was taken to preserve the elegance and finesse of the tannins by limiting the extraction of seed tannins as much as possible.

Livestock farming

18 months: 1/3 in concrete vats, 1/3 in truncated cone vats, and 1/3 in demi-muid barrels (not new); maintain a reducing environment.

About wine:

Lots of black cherries and plums with toasted spices, crushed nuts, roasted herbs, roasted meat, and damp earth. Full-bodied, with crisp tannins and a firm, chalky texture. Structured and robust, with notes of ground black pepper and blue flowers on the palate, with bright blue fruit flavors. Tonic and tense finish. Enjoy now or keep.
