At low temperatures (22–24°) to preserve the freshness of this rich, sun-drenched, and highly expressive vintage—which reflects the climate of that year—great care was taken to maintain the elegance and finesse of the tannins by limiting the extraction of seed tannins as much as possible.

About the wine:

Sourced from just one of Vignon’s consulting clients, the 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme is slightly less expressive on the nose than its CdP blend, but it offers more cherry notes alongside strawberries and pomegranates. It is full-bodied, rich, and concentrated, with a long, tannic finish. Although of roughly equivalent quality, it is quite different in style, with likely slightly greater aging potential. The blend consists of 60% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% Roussanne and Vaccarèse, 3% Muscardin, and 2% Counoise. Fermentation and aging take place in a wide variety of containers, including a significant proportion of amphorae.
