"A great wine from the northern Rhône!"

"Dark, intense, and fleshy nose. Dense core of cherry brandy and gravel, meat, and licorice supported by a tart freshness. Ripe, engaging, and full of character, with a fruity sweetness that balances very well with the full-bodied core." (Jancis Robinson 2025)

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Since settling here in 1994, Stéphane Robert, who does not come from a wine-growing background, has established himself as a leading figure in the northern wine region. He created his vineyard from scratch, which now covers 11 hectares of fragmented land, with vines in Cornas, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Péray, and Condrieu. The vines run alongside an old railway line and a 160-meter tunnel, still visible today, which gives the estate its name and in which a new winery and aging cellar were built in 2013.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the estate:

Stéphane Robert runs his estate with flair and produces modern, precise wines that set the standard within the Saint-Péray and Cornas appellations. These vintages renew the style, sometimes rustic and sunny, of these two small appellations. Stéphane brings touches of refinement to his opaque Syrahs, achieved through the precision of grape ripeness, extraction, and aging. The wines also age very well.
