This 2007 Tradition red is undoubtedly the estate’s finest wine. Generosity and richness are the hallmarks of this cuvée— —which, it should be noted, was aged in barrels previously used for classified growths (Smith Haut Lafitte, Lafite Rothschild, Pape Clément). The nose evokes redcurrants and wild strawberries; the palate charms with its balance of both density and freshness, lending great elegance, punctuated by a taut finish marked by beautifully crafted tannins. A true classic from a truly great vintage!

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated estate (2012 guide): 3 stars (Very high-quality production)
About the estate:
“Luc Baudet had the audacity to settle in this region, which is still heavily influenced by the cooperative. Deeply attached to the Costières de Nîmes, he made his home at Mas Neuf. The richness of the terroirs allows him to offer three types of wine: Rhône Paradox, highlighting the freshness and purity of the fruit; Compostelle, the result of careful selection from old vines, as well as grapes from the best plots. And finally Armonio, born from a collaboration with Louis Mitjavile (Tertre Roteboeuf, in Saint-Emilion, notably).”
