Château Mas Neuf

Château Mas Neuf has been owned by Luc Baudet since 2000. Located at the gateway to the Camargue, the Château Mas Neuf estate spans 62 hectares of vineyards, which are managed with great care. Luc Baudet has mastered his terroir to bring out its best and elevate Château Mas Neuf to the top three estates in the Costières de Nîmes appellation, whose wines are among the best values in southern France.

The plots, situated midway up the southern slope of the Costières de Nîmes, enjoy sunlight comparable to that found in Languedoc or Provence, and the proximity of the lakes and the sea brings gentle thermal winds from the Mediterranean. The vines thrive on heavily leached brown fersiallitic soils, which contain a high concentration of Durancian and Rhodanian pebbles. Variations in soil depth and composition create micro-terroirs with distinct characteristics, further accentuated by tailored vineyard management practices. Luc Baudet and his team have chosen to highlight the exceptional potential of the Château Mas Neuf vineyard by focusing on all the key elements that define a great Costières de Nîmes wine: the vineyard first and foremost, followed by meticulous care in the cellar.
