“Excellent potential”

"Vibrant, lively notes of blueberries and black olives emerge on the nose of Burgaud’s 2020 Côte Rôtie, a blend of grapes from several vineyards, including Côte Blonde, Les Moutonnes, Le Fongeant, and many others. One of the few producers to make just a single bottle, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, slightly creamy on the mid-palate, and has a long, silky finish. Although a bit rough and unformed, it seems to have excellent potential.” (Wine Advocate 2022)

About the wine:

The 2020 Côte Rôtie from Burgaud offers vibrant, lively notes of blueberries and black olives on the nose. It is a blend of grapes from several specific vineyard sites, including Côte Blonde, Les Moutonnes, Le Fongeant, and many others.
