Syrah
finesse
rack of lamb with porcini mushrooms

Grown on light-colored soils in the Leyat, Côte Blonde, Fongeant, La Brosse, and Le Truchet plots, the Prélude cuvée is aged for 20 months in barrels. Its nose of small black fruits and violets tinged with spices and camphor leads to a soft and delicate palate with great finesse. Concentrated, structured by delicate tannins and marked by a certain freshness on the finish, this is a Côte-Rôtie full of nuances.

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

A small estate with some fairly old vines in the Côte Brune area, and a disciple of Patrick Jasmin in winemaking, which is a guarantee of authenticity. The estate did well in 2015, which is normal for the area.
