“With a modern style and well-integrated oak, featuring aromas of blackberry, licorice, and toasted spices, the 2011 Côtes du Rhône Villages Réserve is medium-bodied to full-bodied, fabulously pure, crisp, and silky. Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2016 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
In the Haut-Vaucluse region, nestled against the Dentelles de Séguret, the Domaine de l’Amauve is a distinguished representative of the appellation, led by the inspiring Christian Voeux. Deeply committed to sustainable viticultural practices, Voeux draws on the experience he gained at Château Mont Redon and also produces wine at Château La Nerthe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He sensitively brings out the character of the old vines growing on the estate’s 20 hectares of sandy and stony soil.
