Domaine Combier
The history of Domaine Combier is a true journey through time, rooted in passion and family tradition. It all began in the late 1930s with Camille Combier, whose courage and vision led him to leave the Ardèche plateau and settle in Pont de l'Isère. In 1970, Maurice Combier was one of the first to believe in the benefits of organic farming and respect for the soil and the life that inhabits it. A visionary and trailblazer, he was among the pioneers to adopt these innovative practices in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. This approach demonstrates not only his commitment to quality and authenticity, but also his desire to preserve the environment and promote a sustainable approach to viticulture. 

The saga of Domaine Combier took a new turn in 1990, when Laurent Combier and his wife Ghislaine decided to take over the family business. At that time, the estate had 5 hectares of vines and 15 hectares of fruit trees. Driven by a shared passion for wine, they decided to focus their efforts on viticulture, gradually removing the fruit trees to make way for vines. Their vision was clear: to produce wines of excellence that reflect the unique terroir of Crozes Hermitage, while respecting the principles of organic farming that are so dear to the Combier family. 

Today, with the arrival of David and Julien Combier, passion and enthusiasm continue to burn within the family business. These two young successors bring not only a renewal of energy, but also a modern and innovative vision, while remaining faithful to the traditional values that have made Domaine Combier famous. Domaine Combier continues to strengthen its reputation by producing fine, elegant wines that are appreciated by young wine lovers and connoisseurs alike, with some of the most appealing aging potential in the Rhône Valley.
