"What a joy!"

“A delicate nose of white fruit (pear) and white flowers, typical of Marsanne. A refined palate with very little oak, which preserves the wine’s freshness; the concrete tanks highlight the crystalline purity of the Mercurol and Chanos-Curson hillsides. Best enjoyed in its youth. ” (The Bettane + Desseauve Guide). A Marsanne full of charm and indulgence.

Wine rated 89/100

Rated estate (2021 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable production, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the wine:

A delicate nose of white fruit (pear) and white flowers, typical of Marsanne. A refined palate with very little oak, which preserves the wine’s freshness; the concrete tanks highlight the crystalline purity of the Mercurol and Chanos-Curson hillsides. Best enjoyed in its youth.

About the estate:

Philippe Desmeure and his daughter Émilie have successfully expanded this family-owned estate to 30 hectares of vineyards. The winemaking and aging in oak result in wines that are typically smooth on the palate. The estate demonstrates great consistency in both red and white wines, vintage after vintage. The 2017 vintage is excellent.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Award-Winning Wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the estate:

Until 1973, Alphonse Desmeure brought his harvest to the cooperative. His son Philippe began developing the estate in 1977, shifted production primarily to bottled wine, and expanded the vineyard—which now spans 36 hectares across several municipalities. His children, Émilie and Christophe, have joined the estate. It is a must-visit destination, producing wines of rare consistency.
