About the estate:
Philippe Desmeure and his daughter Émilie have successfully expanded this family-owned estate to 30 hectares of vineyards. The winemaking and aging in oak result in wines that are typically smooth on the palate. The estate demonstrates great consistency in both red and white wines, vintage after vintage. The 2017 vintage is excellent.

About the estate:
Until 1973, Alphonse Desmeure brought his harvest to the cooperative. His son Philippe began developing the estate in 1977, shifted production primarily to bottled wine, and expanded the vineyard—which now covers 36 hectares spread across several municipalities. His children, Émilie and Christophe, have joined the estate. It is a must-try estate, producing wines of rare consistency.

Always crafted in a mature, pure, and well-oaked style, the 2024 Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée Christophe offers notes of blackcurrant, graphite, spicy oak, and floral hints that define its aromatic profile. Aged for 15 months in 70% new French oak barrels, with the remainder in one-year-old barrels, this wine has a medium body, beautiful depth on the mid-palate, a generous structure, and exceptional length. It is a magnificently crafted wine—particularly for this vintage—that is truly worth seeking out.
