It competes with the best wines of the vintage. The Gigondas L'Argnée Vieilles Vignes 2014 comes mainly from sandy soils and pre-phylloxera vines; the only problem is that there are only about a hundred cases of this wine. Offering superb notes of ground pepper, crushed flowers, violet, and spices, with a heart of kirsch and raspberry, this beauty is full-bodied, impeccably balanced, and has structuring but ultra-fine tannins. It's hard to find, but well worth the effort!" (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Bettane & Desseauve
3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Over the past 15 years, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel has expanded by acquiring appellations in the southern Rhône Valley. This ambition has been successfully realized both in Luberon with La Vieille Ferme and in the other terroirs presented. Perfect mastery of fermentation and appropriate aging techniques have played a major role in this success.
