Domaine de Montine
A family story that began in 1933 with the purchase of a farm. The Domaine de Montinetruly took shape in 1987 under the stewardship of brothers Claudy and Jean-Luc Monteillet, with the renovation and conversion of the hamlet’s buildings into cellars and the launch of bottled wines. This family-owned estate, based in Grignan-les-Adhémar in the heart of the Drôme Provençale, has worked since its inception to promote this satellite appellation of the southern Rhône Valley.
Surrounded by lush nature—lavender fields, truffle groves, and garrigue—the Domaine de Montine spans various terroirs across nearly 70 hectares of vineyards. The soils are predominantly limestone and stony, though clay-limestone soils are also present. The vineyards are managed using sustainable viticulture, with the utmost respect for nature and the soil, following a "winemaker’s" approach. Domaine de Montine produces wines primarily under the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation, but also Vinsobres, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and IGP Méditerranée.
