Domaine Les Asseyras - IGP Méditerranée Reflets 100% Marselan 2024
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"An undeniable pleasure with every sip"
"Marselan, a cross between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, is the sole grape variety used in this remarkable cuvée, which has a superb dark garnet color, as expected with this variety, and an enticing nose of candied cherry, blackcurrant paste, and coriander. Supple on the attack, the palate delights with its juicy texture bursting with black berries, its tightly woven tannins and a touch of acidity on the finish that enhances its very digestible and sapid character. Although it is already at its peak, it will also benefit from a little ageing." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About wine:
Marselan, a cross between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, is the sole grape variety used in this remarkable cuvée. It has a superb dark garnet color, as expected with this grape variety, and an enticing nose of candied cherry, blackcurrant paste, and coriander. Supple on the attack, the palate delights with its juicy texture bursting with black berries, its tightly knit tannic structure and a touch of acidity on the finish that enhances its very digestible and sapid character. Although it is already at its peak, it can also be cellared for a short period.
About the estate:
A 35-hectare vineyard located on the heights of Tulette, already planted with vines in the Middle Ages and owned by the Blanc family since 1937. In 2018, Étienne, representing the fourth generation, took over the reins of the estate and began the conversion to organic farming, which was completed in 2024.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on January 7, 2026
Discover this 100% Marselan, which is interesting without being exceptional. Concentrated, the smooth texture glides over a very light background of fat enveloping notes of black fruits, candied prunes, and spices, supported by firm tannins enhanced by a present acidity. A slight astringency is noticeable at the end of the tasting. Correct but nothing more with duck with black mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Rating = 3.5.

Review and opinion by Mr. MATHIEU W. Published on 12/24/2025
Thick, dark purple-red color with violet at the rim. Nose: dark fruit, freshly crushed fruit, chocolate, earthiness, wet wood, and some tingling alcohol. Juicy on the palate, freshly crushed red and dark fruit. Blackberries, plums, blackcurrants. Then earthiness and a hint of spice. Firm tannin structure of soft tannins that still need to blend with the wine. Substance, freshness, and drinking pleasure. Short finish with raspberry at the end. Score: 15.5/20
