Guffens at Château des Tourettes - Red Enfin 2004

Guffens au Château des Tourettes - Rouge Enfin 2004

Long known as a "white wine producer," Jean-Marie Guffens launched a great red wine in 2004. "Finally!" people exclaimed here and there. The name of this cuvée is therefore apt, and it is undoubtedly a lovely wine, with subtle toasted and fruity notes (black fruits), good freshness, round tannins, and a perfectly balanced and digestible palate. The quintessence of Guffens' expertise at the service of a rich and nuanced terroir. A beautiful bottle to be enjoyed without delay!

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Château des Tourettes has a beautiful vineyard on the Apt plateau. Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens have almost completely restructured the vineyard, affirming their desire to create a beautiful terroir through massal selection replanting. The wines are faithful to Jean-Marie Guffens' style, always offering a balance between ripe grapes and a mineral tension on the finish. Jean-Marie and Maine are refocusing production on whites and putting an end to the Guffens du Sud négociant business.
