Guffens at Château des Tourettes - Rouge Enfin 2004

Guffens au Château des Tourettes - Rouge Enfin 2004

Long regarded as a “white wine producer,” Jean-Marie Guffens launched a great red wine in 2004. “Finally!” people exclaimed here and there. The name of this cuvée is therefore perfectly apt, and it is undoubtedly a lovely wine, with subtle toasty and fruity notes (black fruits), good freshness, round tannins, and a perfectly balanced and easy-drinking palate. The quintessence of Guffens’ expertise at the service of a rich and nuanced terroir. A fine bottle to enjoy without delay!

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Château des Tourettes owns a lovely vineyard on the Apt plateau. Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens have almost entirely restructured the vineyard, demonstrating their commitment to creating a distinctive terroir through the replanting of mass-selected vines. The wines remain true to Jean-Marie Guffens’s style, consistently balancing fully ripened grapes with a mineral edge on the finish. Jean-Marie and Maine are refocusing production on white wines and discontinuing the Guffens du Sud wine merchant business.
