Tourettes Castle
Château des Tourettes is a winery in the Rhône Valley masterfully run by two passionate winemakers. Nothing seemed to predestine Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen, originally from Flanders, to create a winery that would, within a few years and through hard work, become one of the most renowned in the world for the quality of its Vin de pays de Vaucluse—except, perhaps, a shared passion for vines and wine and a particularly creative artistic sensibility.

In 1997, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen acquired Château des Tourettes, located a few kilometers from Apt. This decision was certainly motivated by the beauty of the Luberon’s landscapes, which immediately captivated their artistic souls, but also by the Château des Tourettes vineyard itself, which offered them new possibilities. Indeed, despite the region’s heat, the vines—situated at an altitude of 420 meters—enjoy ideal conditions that ensure slow ripening. Over time and through hard work, the Château des Tourettes estate has established its character, and the adventure continues...
