"Rare, limited quantity!"
One of the region’s finest white wines. Stéphane Robert’s Saint Péray Pur Blanc proves that high altitude isn’t a requirement: the century-old Marsanne vines are located in the village of Saint Péray, at the foot of the appellation. It offers delicate aromas on the nose reminiscent of crushed stone and rainwater, followed by a floral and fresh palate with lively flavors of pear and melon. It has a lovely roundness and a long, lively, and refreshing finish, with an almost weightless character.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
Since taking over in 1994, Stéphane Robert—who does not come from a winemaking background—has established himself as a leading figure in the world of northern wines. He built his vineyard from scratch; today it comprises 11 highly fragmented hectares planted with Cornas, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Péray, and Condrieu vines. These vines run alongside an old railroad track and a 160-meter tunnel—still visible today—which gives the estate its name and in which a new winemaking facility and aging cellar were built in 2013.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 92/100 (2019 vintage)
Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Stéphane Robert runs his estate with great skill and crafts modern, precise wines that have become benchmarks within the Saint-Péray and Cornas appellations. These wines bring a fresh perspective to the style—sometimes rustic and sun-kissed—of these two small appellations. Stéphane brings touches of refinement to his opaque Syrahs, achieved through precise grape ripeness, extraction, and aging. The wines also age very well.
