Château Mazane

Château Mazane is owned by the Jaume family, a distinguished Rhône family that has been dedicated to the great terroirs of the Rhône Valley for nearly two centuries, with a strong commitment to environmentally friendly farming practices. The Jaumes took over this property in Vaqueyras in 2003, along with the Domaine du Clos de Sixte in Lirac, and of course continue to work at the Domaine Grand Veneur.    

The Château Mazane vineyard, situated on the garrigue plateau between the terraces of the Ouvèze and the Dentelles de Montmirail, is about fifty years old and consists of a single contiguous plot. The vines, predominantly Grenache, are cultivated using organic methods and receive the same care as the other certified vineyards.

Château Mazane wines are intense and refined, expressing distinctive aromas of spices and garrigue, a true expression of their terroir of origin.
