Domaine Madeloc
In 2002, Pierre Gaillard, a winemaker from the Rhône region, acquired a 29-hectare estate located in the municipalities of Banyuls, Cerbère, and Port-Vendres, in the heart of Roussillon: Domaine Madeloc. Here, he found a new opportunity to work with schist terroirs.
The Domaine Madeloc vineyard is planted with Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Carignan for the reds, and Grenache Blanc and Gris, Roussanne, and Vermentino for the whites.
Domaine Madeloc produces approximately 60,000 bottles per year, divided among 11 Collioure and Banyuls cuvées: Trémadoc, Penya, Foranell, Serral, Magenca, Crestall, Asphodèles, Cirera, Terre-Mer, Robert Pagès, and Solera.
